Every year The SEMA Show brings in thousands of custom cars and amazing builds. From off-road adventure vehicles to hot rods & classics, take a look at some of these fine builds, featuring J.W. Speaker LED lighting!
1965 Chevrolet C10
Eric Rodriguez of Wolf’s garage So-Cal
Eric is no stranger to building custom classic cars and chose this build, named “The Sheriff”, because he had easy access to it. His favorite part on this American classic are the wheels with the copper spokes and Wolf Design Co. logo. Eric selected J.W. Speaker’s 8700 Evo 2 Dual Burn® LED headlights because he has been a fan of their looks and quality on his SEMA builds for the last 5 years. “Gotta come back to quality” said Eric. We can’t wait to see what you have in store for SEMA 2019!
1969 Jeep Gladiator Pickup
Bill Cosby of Just Jeep Stuff
Bill selected the 1969 Jeep Gladiator Pickup for its very iconic and vintage Jeep design, that is well sought after. He chose J.W. Speaker’s 8700 Evo 2 Dual Burn LED headlights and 6045 LED fog lights because they are a unique and clean design that compliments the Jeep Gladiator’s clean look. Bill was surprised by the wide spread of the headlights and impressed with how bright the headlights are.
1969 Ford Bronco
John Cole of Elite Broncos
John was always a Jeep guy but could never get past his fascination for antique Ford Broncos. His favorite part about his 1969 Ford Bronco build was the custom suspension he built. John chose J.W. Speaker’s 8700 Evolution J2 LED headlights and TS4000 LED auxiliary lights for the front bumper because he loved the appearance right out of the box. Having been a desert racer for 38 years, John has a feel for what works and what doesn’t, and he knows quality when he sees it. The adjustable performance of the lights, ability to aim the headlights AND the easy installation in Ford Broncos all made for a perfect fit.
1969 Jeepster Commando
Troy Tertany of Roamr
This build was special for Troy, as he got to work on the 1969 Jeepster Commando alongside his dad. Troy’s favorite part is the Patina paint finish, offering a flattening paint look that really added to the build’s mix of old and new school. Troy picked J.W. Speaker’s 8700 Evo 2 Dual Burn LED headlights and 8632 Evolution LED headlights because the finish of the lights went so well with the truck’s look. Asked why he uses our lights, Troy said “J.W. Speaker sets the bar for lighting. We’ve been working with J.W. Speaker for 9 years simply because they’re the best lights out there.”
1970 Chevrolet K5 Blazer C10
Oscar Quintero of Chinch_kk
When Oscar found a deal he couldn’t pass up, he chose the K5 Blazer for his 2018 SEMA build. His favorite part about the build was the custom chassis because it was built like a car, but under the hood of the truck. Oscar has seen J.W. Speaker lights in past SEMA show, and chose the 8700 Evo 2 Dual Burn LED headlights because they throw a lot of light down the road and the low beams alone are very bright! Oscar likes that they have a clean and clear design—”nothing too crazy going on”—that matched the clean look of the car.
1972 Chevrolet Chevelle
Jon Corral of Class1c Productions
He chose this Chevy Chevelle for SEMA because he wanted to work on it alongside his dad. Jon’s vision was to transform the 1972 Chevy Chevelle body into a new, modern 2018 version of this classic muscle car. Jon chose J.W. Speaker’s 8700 Evo 2 Dual Burn LED headlights for the build because he knows quality and said “J.W. Speaker has the best LED lights in the industry.” His initial impression was that once you drive behind the headlights they are “absolutely amazing” and the best lights that money can buy.
1973 Ford F100 Ranger XLT
Nick Alfano of Classic Design Concepts
Having grown up with a 1973 Ford F100 Ranger, Nick always had a sweet spot for this classic truck. Nick found the perfect truck in Alabama and brought it all the way home to Detroit to rebuild for the biggest automotive stage – SEMA. Nick’s favorite part of the build was the custom suspension. He chose J.W. Speaker’s 8700 Evo 2 Dual Burn LED headlights because he loved that they are all American made. Nick’s plan after SEMA is to display the truck at the Detroit Autorama.
1979 Datsun 280ZX
John and Brandon Wargo of The Custom Shop
John and Brandon are a father-son duo from Illinois. Brandon always wanted a late model Datsun, and it was a dream come true to bring it to SEMA this year in the Sony booth in North Hall. Brandon chose J.W. Speaker because he’s had our headlights on many builds over the years. Their first impression of the J.W. Speaker 8700 Evolution J2 LED headlights and 6145 J2 LED fog lights was about how bright they are.
1984 Jeep CJ-8 Alaskan Postal Scrambler
Eric Walton of JPFreek Adventure Magazine
This right-hand drive Jeep CJ-8 is 1 of 230 limited edition of mail trucks made in Alaska for the USPS. Eric drove all the way to Alaska to get this Jeep and his goal is to drive it to every single state in the continental USA . Eric’s favorite part about the build was the uniqueness, and he chose J.W. Speaker’s 8700 Evolution J2 LED headlights because “Hand’s down, they’re the best he’s ever had, and doing a lot of night driving, I need good light for night driving”. The performance and quality were unmatched.
2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JK
Josh and Tiffany Burnett – the_josh33
Josh and Tiffany are a family of Jeep builders. They don’t like to keep anything stock, so when Tiffany got a new Jeep, they decided to go all out. Josh and Tiffany modified every inch of this Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JK from the wheels and even customized the customizations – check out those WHITE lights! The Burnetts chose J.W. Speaker’s 239 J2 LED front turn signals, 8700 Evolution J2 LED headlights, and 279 J LED tail lights for their looks and the installation was a breeze. They couldn’t have been happier about the customer experience.
