2018 Easter Jeep Safari
JP Dirt N' Drive
We started off our 500+ mile trip to Moab, UT in Phoenix, AZ, as we joined JP Magazine for their enthralling Dirt N’ Drive adventure. We were a proud sponsor of this event and had a great time wheeling around along with a parade of over 100 Jeeps on this epic adventure leading up to Easter Jeep Safari. A few places we stopped in were the Coconino National Forest (a Ponderosa tree forest filled with volcanic cones and craters), the Grand Falls (a Navajo Reservation in Arizona), Two Guns Ghost Town, and Kayenta Coal Mine (the biggest coal mine in Arizona).
Easter Jeep Safari
From the beautiful weather to the hazardous trails to the breathtaking Utah landscape, our Easter Jeep Safari trip was one for the books. We explored many trails throughout Moab while interacting with Jeepers from around the world, discussing our favorite topic – Jeeps.
Monday was a day of getting vehicles into the dirt and grabbing some photos from Area BFE. The scenery of this area was second-to-none. We split up our J.W. Speaker team so that we tackle different terrain, and spent the day navigating through the amazing obstacles.
Tuesday morning we traveled to Pritchett Canyon, hoping to traverse one of the hardest trails in Moab. Having Levi Shirley – an Ultra 4 race car driver- along with us, we figured nothing could go wrong. Besides the difficult obstacles, rough terrain, and a failing radiator, we enjoyed our time wheeling in the warm weather.
Wednesday was an early morning as part of our team traveled with Levi Shirley and Nemesis Industries to run the Northridge 4×4 trail – Kane Creek. This day started early and ended late – we ended up on a line of over 100 Jeeps, on a trail with limited bypasses and zero room for turning around. While this was taking place the rest of the team was back in town enjoying the beautiful weather and exceptional views and not really upset that they missed the line of jeeps. As the sun was setting we washed all the jeeps and hung out on main street talking to people as they walked the street taking in the views.
We were excited to join in the fun at the 2018 Easter Jeep Safari with old and new friends. We are sure to return again next year.
