Giving back to Milwaukee – Rebuilding Day 2015
Show Categories
Associates of J.W. Speaker came together this year to volunteer their time and talents to the Rebuilding Together of Greater Milwaukee’s Rebuilding Day 2015 – May 16, 2015.
J.W. Speaker joined forces with Rebuilding Together of Greater Milwaukee and sponsored a home for their Rebuilding Day 2015. Along with donated time and tools, J.W. Speaker associates put in a full day of hard work to help repair the home of a local Milwaukee resident.
The homeowner, who asked to remain anonymous, has lived and owned her home for the past 40 years and lost her husband 19 years ago. Since then she has been on her own, and while she is very involved in her local community and church, she was unable to keep up the preservation and strenuous maintenance of her home.
25 volunteers from J.W. Speaker worked to update her exterior landscaping, bathroom plumbing, installing kitchen cabinets, mounting counter tops, installing security bars, demolition and repainting interior walls and ceilings.

Rebuilding Together of Greater Milwaukee, a non-profit organization, uniting volunteers to rehabilitate homes and revitalize Milwaukee communities, was able to bring together 9 different homes for their Rebuilding Day 2015!
J.W. Speaker was happy to participate this year and give back to the local community we call home.
