Position Available: Assembly Group Leader (Whitney Facility)
Show CategoriesWe are looking for an Group Team Leader to lead our Assembly Teams at our Whitney Facility. We are looking for a seasoned leader to organize daily production, line execution and motivate your team!
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
1st Priority – Daily Execution:
- Create a safe & secure working environment by training & enforcing safety policies
- Deliver to customer expectations by training & enforcing quality standards
- Organize and plan daily/weekly line execution to meet SQDC goals
- Drive actions through LSW to contain problems timely and resolve effectively or escalate as needed
- Prepare for next shift and report abnormalities to ensure a smooth hand-off
2nd Priority – Observe, Coach & Engage:
- Observe team members & ensure accountability to standards through regular performance feedback
- Identify & facilitate development opportunities for team members utilizing the skills matrix
- Recognize & celebrate behaviors & results that support our culture and brand
3rd Priority – Each Day Better:
- Using observation (LSW) and data, assist team members to identify waste & facilitate improvements
- Using observation (LSW) and Zone data, identify and facilitate systemic Zone improvements.
- Work at the right level to drive improvement between Zones
- Identify & implement strategic opportunities to improve daily execution, development and the CI system
- Demonstrate PDCA thinking through the prioritization of “just do it” actions: 4-steps and kaizen events
- Create an environment where the team members are engaged & developing to their fullest potential
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of Manufacturing Floor Support, 1-2 years in a Leadership Role
- Problem Solving Training
- Willingness to participate in continuous learning opportunities
- Proven people management techniques: (i.e. accountability, development and engagement)
- Working with data to prioritize & solve problems
- Ability to teach, coach & mentor Leaders on developing associates and solving problems
