Due to our tremendous growth, we are looking to add a part-time Accounting Clerk to our Finance team.   This position is ideal for those candidates looking for a little flexibility in their work schedules, as the 20 hours per week needed to do this position can be divided into 3 longer days or 4-5 shorter days, as long as the schedule can remain consistent throughout the year.

We are a very fast-paced, innovative company focused on continuous improvement! Duties for this position will be varied, but will consist of the following:

Daily Accounting Routines:

  • Matching, coding and entry of vendor invoices
  • Invoicing our customers correctly and efficiently
  • RMA credits to customers
  • Cash receipt application
  • Petty cash administration

Reconciliation:

  • Monthly accounts payable and receivable closing activities
  • Investigation and resolution of short payments and customer deductions

Qualified candidates will have basic knowledge of accounting principles and at least 1 year of experience in accounting.  In addition, candidates must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, and ERP experience is a definite plus (we use Syteline). Finally, attention to detail and accuracy is CRITICAL for this position.

Test Lab Engineer

Test Lab Engineer

Our continuous growth is allowing us to add a new member to our Test Lab team! We are searching for an experienced Test Engineer to join our growing company, located in Germantown, WI. Job duties for this position will consist of the following priorities:

New Product Development Testing:

  • Perform all mechanical and electrical testing for new products
  • Create accurate and detailed test reports for internal and external distribution
  • Review results and draw conclusions on mechanical, and electrical product testing
  • Maintain test reports and data in the testing database and improves database structure as required
  • Create and maintain a test schedule to ensure testing in completed when required
  • Manage day to day activities and priorities of mechanical and electronic test labs
  • Research and procure new mechanical and electronic test and measurement equipment for labs as required
  • Maintain and provide technical direction on customer, regulatory and industry technical requirements
  • Ensure that tests are run in strict compliance with the appropriate standard or specification
  • Monitor testing and prototyping technologies and provide input to strategy development

New Product Development Support/Staff Development:

  • Provide accurate and detailed feedback to engineers in a timely fashion in regards to testing results
  • Assist engineers with troubleshooting or failure resolution of tests
  • Re-adjust test schedule in the event of failures or other delays to minimize downtime
  • Review test reports from other test personnel for accuracy, content and format
  • Develop and coach team members on NPD process and tools

Lab Maintenance and Improvement:

  • Maintain and acquire equipment to ensure consistent and accurate results
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements for the company, lab, equipment, processes and tools
  • Manage the proper utilization, procurement, maintenance, and calibration of test facilities and all engineering test equipment in all test labs
  • Develop systems and methods to improve lab efficiencies

Qualified candidates MUST have detailed working knowledge of vibration and vibration testing methods, with a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience and 3 years experience working in regulatory or test lab.  Additionally, candidates must have intermediate experience working in MS Word and Excel, and Access experience is preferred.

J.W. Speaker is searching for a seasoned Customer Service Representative to work in our Aftermarket division. As mentioned, this position offers much variety and makes the day go quickly.  Duties will consist of the following:

Customer Care:

  • Answer phone calls and emails from customers inquiring about our products and needing technical support, dealer locations, quotes, suggestions and more
  • Timely and accurate data entry of new orders
  • Supporting our customers for B2B web ordering and maintenance
  • Communicate pricing changes and product obsolescence
  • Work with customers on warranty issues
  • Expediting customer requests for shipments in less than normal lead times

Sales Support:

  • Prepare and process routine quotes and follow up
  • Assist both inside and outside sales reps with materials, communication, new customers, samples, etc.
  • Respond and follow up to new advertising leads and product inquiries
  • Set up new customers in our ERP system, Syteline
  • Process sample orders

Qualified Candidates For This Position Will Possess The Following:

  • 2-4 years of experience with inside sales or customer service in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Access
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Associate degree in a related field or related experience

2nd Priority – People Development – Observe, Coach, & Develop

  • Working with the Production Team Leader, responsible for the performance coaching and appraisals of team members.

  • Lead continuous improvement activities; engaging team at all levels.
  • Improve 5s system by continually applying sort, set in order and shine and regularly audit zones

Experience

  • Well-rounded mechanical ability
  • Manufacturing with a focus on high mix, low volume production
  • Direct supervision of up to 15 associates

Education

Qualified candidates will have experience in the following areas:
Developing and Maintaining our Quality Management System:

  • Understand our customer requirements and what we need to do to meet them
  • Lead our 4 step problem-solving method to determine root causes of any quality problems/concerns
  • Think and act proactively, facilitating preventive actions when possible, or effective corrective actions when necessary
  • Continually improve our Quality Management System with an eye on cost-effectiveness and meeting our customer requirements

Providing Feedback, Problem-Solving, and Continuous Improvement:

  • Facilitate our corrective action systems: customer, internal, and supplier
  • Teach and mentor our Speaker associates thru problem-solving using PDCA
  • Perform data collection, analysis and corrective actions
  • Lead our team of Quality Engineers, technicians, and auditors, building teamwork, and working collaboratively and cross-functionally with all of our internal customers

Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or similar, along with an ASQ certification in Quality Management or Engineering.

In addition, candidates must possess the following:

  • 15+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • ISO 9001 and/or TS16949 experience
  • 5+ years in a leadership role, successfully leading a group of direct reports
  • Strong background working collaboratively with NPD groups, providing guidance and support
  • Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written), with a customer-service mindset
  • Experience working within and driving a sophisticated QMS
