Our continued growth is providing an opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer Team Leader to join our team! This position will manage both people (manufacturing engineers) and processes (our value stream’s assembly area), driving improvement initiatives, developing people, and ensuring we are constantly aligned to our customer needs. Duties will be fast paced, challenging, and consist of the following:

• Serve as the assembly process expert – own manufacturing processes within the value stream
• Line design expert – product and material flows that meet or exceed quality and cost objectives
• Proactive alignment of work cell capacity to customer demands and internal buffer targets
• Align resources and priorities for aggressive support of the help chain
• Investigate and implement new manufacturing processes
• Support ECN process – timely, cost effective, minimizing scrap
• Work individual skill development plans to increase capability and flexibility

• Team-building – raise level of involvement, responsibility, and accountability – highly collaborative
• Process driven – understand and document (follow it or fix it mindset), own business process documents
• Develop and assign process owners
• Sustain a visual workplace – make problems visible and practice 5S principals
• Lead/participate in development and deployment of A3 strategies
• Own zone metrics – operating measures at the source to drive improvements
• Teach and perform problem solving using PDCA – facilitate process improvement teams

Our ideal candidate will come with a proven track record of success in a similar role. We are looking for 15-20 years of manufacturing experience, with 10 years experience in area of process expertise and at least 5 years of leadership experience.

Additionally, a 4 year degree is required – BS in manufacturing engineering or related field.

This is an immediate opening, and salary will be commensurate with experience.
